Mozilla Firefox has the capabilities to open up multiple “tabs” upon startup. I like to do this so that I can open up my favorite websites. The only downside to doing this is it does cause the tabs you specify to startup, they take a a tad bit longer to load because you have multible tabs loading at a time. Its no big deal to me as I have multiple screens I can multitask.
In Mozilla Firefox Look at the top of your browser for “Tools” as shown below in the screenshot.
After clicking on “Tools” click on “Options” as shown in the screenshot below.
After you click on “Options” a new dialog box will appear. Here you will want to navigate to the “General” tab (this tab will load by default)
You will see a label as shown below called “Home Page:” and then a text box following which will show your current Mozilla Firefox home page. Here you will see mine below I have multiple sites such as Engadget, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, Maximum PC, and Dealnews. I watch these sites frequently so I always want them open. Every website will be seperated by a space and a | symbol. Here is the raw text below that I have in my “Home Page:” textbox.
http://engadget.com/ | http://www.gizmodo.com/ | http://www.lifehacker.com/ | http://maximumpc.com/ | http://dealnews.com/
Here enter your favorite websites in the same format as shown above and then click on the “ok” button.
There you have it simply reload Mozilla Firefox and see that you now open multiple tabs upon startup.
Here is the websites that open up when I startup you will see below that the above tutorial worked. Sometimes you may experience problems when using the pipe symbol as shown above ( | ) so instead you can use %7.
